In the 1990's, "smart" weapons have redefined how the military targets its enemies. In the near future they will be replaced by "brilliant-class" weapons, controlled by artificially intelligent computers. Among these weapons is a devastating breed of computer supervirus that is virtually unstoppable. And when it invades the United States' defense technology, the world will burn in its fever…

In this explosive debut, Bill Buchanan unleashes a disaster scenario of nightmare proportions—one that is all-too-plausible in an age of supercomputers and man-made intelligence. When the powerful lasers of America's space-based missile defense system begin knocking commercial airliners out of the sky, the world is suddenly a prisoner. Stealth technology is useless. Breaking the virus is impossible. And in the end, humanity's future will come down to one woman's daring ride to beat the machine.

Intense, chilling, and utterly relentless, Virus is a new breed of thriller that will change the way you think about the future.
